Meanwhile, Pro-democracy groups—with the likes of Dr. Beko Ransom-Kati, Gani Fawehinmi, Femi Falana & several others too numerous to mention, fearing that Babangida had an hidden agenda to remain in power perpetually after seven years in power, came together as a formidable force to resist military rule and insist on the exit of Babangida.
